This year mushroom enthusiasts from all over the island may gather in Erimi village to
celebrate the humble yet notorious fungus. The festival has grown into one of the largest
and most prestigious events. It is a two-day shindig of food, family fun and mushroom tips.
Enrich your knowledge of mycology by getting tips from the best! The festival features
lectures on the secrets of mushroom growing and mushroom picking experts who will
introduce you to the world of mushrooms, help you identify them and show you how
to select the best. You will also sample all kinds of mushroom dishes, from fried
mushrooms to mushroom soups, and from mushroom gyros to mushroom pasta.
Children’s eyes will light up at the variety of games and activities, while the main
stage will host an entertaining program of traditional dances and songs.
