The Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving Fund (RES & EX) has announced the start of submission of applications for the 2025 Sponsorship Scheme for the installation or replacement of solar hot water production systems in homes.
The process will remain open until the final submission of 2,000 applications for both categories of beneficiaries.
Who are the beneficiaries?
The project covers the subsidy for the installation of integrated water heating systems (cylinder and solar panels) which meet the minimum technical criteria. The installations should be implemented exclusively by certified installers included in the official list, while the equipment must also come from the approved List of Eligible Equipment.
Amount of sponsorship
The amount of the sponsorship amounts to:
- Category H1 – General category: €500 per residence, with an increase to €900 for mountainous and disadvantaged areas.
- Category H2 – Vulnerable households: €900 per dwelling.
It is emphasized that pre-approval is required before the start of the works, as otherwise the application is rejected.
Submission Process
Applications are submitted exclusively electronically through the website of the RES & EXE Fund. Interested parties are urged to carefully study the Sponsorship Plan Guide and the instructions provided on the website.
At the same time, the Fund's Management Committee invites professional installers to immediately register in the List of Participating Installers, so that they can participate in the program.
