The city council will meet again next week in order to reach the much-discussed issue of the camping site.
The previous meeting was postponed due to the absence of deputy mayors who considered that the convocation of the tender council should have been preceded but also given the opportunity to be informed in detail about the proposal.
According to the mayor of the City, the goal is to award the tender as soon as possible, so that the contractor can start the work and operate the camping site in the summer of 2026.
Mr. Papachristofi notes that this is a tender of great importance, with a submitted bid of €151,500, while the minimum bid amount was set at €60,000 per year.
