The Department of Public Works announced the execution of works on roads in the districts of Nicosia and Paphos, warning of traffic modifications and urging drivers to be careful.
According to an announcement by the Nicosia District Engineer's Office, on Monday, August 4 and Tuesday, August 5, 2025, between 07:00 and 16:00, road repair works will be carried out on the Aglantzia-Geri interurban road (E119), from the junction with Kalamata Avenue to the Campus roundabout.
During the hours of execution of the works, the left lane of traffic in the direction from Geri to Aglantzia, in a length of about 1,500 meters, will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the right lane.
At the same time, the Paphos District Engineer's Office announced that from Monday 4 to Thursday 14 August 2025 (except weekends), from 08:30 to 15:00, forestry works will be carried out on the central dividing islet of the Paphos-Limassol motorway (A6), in both directions, and in a daily length of 1.5 to 2 km, from the Paphos roundabout to the exit of Petra tou Romiou.
During the works, partial cuts of the express lane will be carried out, with traffic being channelled into the slow traffic lane.
The Department of Public Works asks for the public's understanding of the unavoidable inconvenience and calls on drivers to comply with the temporary signage and the instructions of the Police for the safe conduct of the work.
