TSADA FIRE - WALLET LOST

 Pafos Press 18 August 2025

An eighty-year-old man lost his wallet with €2,500 that he took from his home when he left it due to a fire on Sunday afternoon in Tsada. His family has also informed the Police about the case. Specifically, Nikos Kouridis, 80 years old from Tsada, because he lives on a hill outside the village - the border of Koili-Tsada, was one of the first to see the first flames from his veranda before they took on dimensions and informed 112, according to his daughter. He was with the two 20-year-old volunteers and even two elderly neighbours outside their homes with hoses and fought to save the four residences together with aerial vehicles and the fire department. As the daughter of the 80-year-old describes, the fire only reached the yard of one house. She also pointed out that in his panic when the 80-year-old was asked to evacuate the house as part of the partial and preventive evacuation, he only took all the money he had in the house, approximately €2,500, and put it in his wallet, which seems to have fallen on him in the panic of the spread of the fire and while leaving in a hurry. Upon his return to his home after the fire was extinguished, his daughter continued, he could not find it. The 80-year-old's daughter appeals if anyone knows or has found it somewhere in the area, even without the money, to inform them. She also adds that the Police are also aware of the above case.
