TALA SQUARE - UPDATE
For the paper petition, there were 165 signatures
The online petition is still running - 1460 signatures when I last looked
Extensive enquiries have been made [hampered by the holiday period] regarding the claims that permits, excluding the one from the Church, have been obtained. It would appear that NO permits have been issued to date.
Given the concerns that work may proceed without said permits, if anyone sees any plant approaching or on the square, please immediately phone the Police and ask them to come up to the square to prevent illegal construction work.
Work to prevent changes to the Square has been ongoing for over 12 months now and will continue. Will advise if there is anything to report.
