The risk of an explosion and expansion of forest fires, tomorrow, Friday, August 22, will be at the level of "Red Alert", warns the Department of Forests.
It is emphasized that causing a fire, according to the Forestry Law and the Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Law in the Countryside, constitutes an offense that incurs severe penalties.
A warm appeal is made to the public to be particularly careful during their excursions, completely avoiding actions and activities that may cause a fire.
Finally, in case someone notices smoke or fire, they are asked to immediately call 1407 (Forestry Department) or 112 (Fire Department).
