With a European budget of almost half a million euros, the Municipality of Akamas is proceeding with environmental projects to save energy within its limits.
Speaking to "F", the Mayor of Akamas, Marinos Lambrou, stressed that the project is part of a European funded project for green energy, in the framework of which he recently took part in a meeting held in Bridisi, Italy.
As Mr. Lambrou stated, within the framework of the project, the Municipality of Akamas, with a total budget of €456,350, will immediately start the installation of photovoltaic panels in specially designed canopies in the parking lot of the Municipal Stadium of Peyia, with the ultimate aim of saving energy by reducing the cost of annual public lighting needs.

In this European project, he concluded, three Italian cities, Tuzi, Lezhe and Bridisi, are participating in this European project.
