 Cyprus Fire Watch is being upgraded with new features and will remain completely free. 

Through close collaboration with the volunteer forest protection team ATLAS, the meteorological platform Weather Forecast Ierodiakonou, as well as the voluntary technical support of the developers of Global Titan Digital Marketing, Cyprus Fire Watch can now be considered an essential tool for fire awareness and beyond. 

A brand-new feature of Cyprus Fire Watch is Report Fire. 

With the new “Report Fire” button, you can easily report a fire.

How does it work?

As soon as you see smoke or flames, by pressing the Report Fire button within seconds and filling in your name and phone number, the app allows you to take a photo of the fire location by selecting Capture Fire.

Then, by pressing the Report a Fire button, the app sends the photo directly to our team. 

What does this mean?

 Our team automatically receives your coordinates (your location), and with the photo you send, we can assess how serious the fire is based on the vegetation burning and the spread it has taken. 

Immediately, a volunteer from the ATLAS forest protection team will notify the Fire Service or the Forestry Department of the exact location of the fire and the vegetation that is burning—two crucial pieces of information for the authorities to respond effectively.

 In this way, we can all become valuable allies in timely fire response.

2. Email Alerts – Stay updated via email about wildfire developments in Cyprus.
3. SMS Alerts – Receive instant notifications on your phone (only for critical incidents).

Μέσα από μια στενή συνεργασία με την   εθελοντική ομάδα δασοπροστασίας  ΑΤΛΑΣ, της μετεωρολογικής πλατφόρμας weather forecast ierodiakonou   καθώς και την εθελοντική τεχνική υποστήριξη των developers της Global Titan Digital Marketing το Cyprus Fire Watch μπορεί να θεωρηθεί μια ουσιώδες επιλογή στην ενημέρωση πυρκαγιών και όχι μόνο.

 

Μια νέα δυνατότητα του Cyprus Fire Watch είναι το report fire (δήλωση πυρκαγιάς)

 

Με το νέο κουμπί «Report Fire» μπορείτε εύκολα να δηλώσετε μια πυρκαγιά.

Πως γίνεται αυτό;

 

Με το που θα δείτε καπνό ή φωτιά πατώντας το κουμπί report fire σε λίγα δευτερόλεπτα και συμπληρώνοντας το όνομα και τον αριθμό τηλεφώνου η εφαρμογή σας επιτρέπει να βγάλετε μια φωτογραφία το σημείο της πυρκαγιάς πατώντας την επιλογή capture fire.

Ακολούθως πατώντας το κουμπί report a fire η εφαρμογή αποστέλλει την φωτογραφία στην ομάδα μας. 

 

Τι σημαίνει  αυτό;

 

Αυτόματα η ομάδα μας λαμβάνει τις συντεταγμένες σας δηλαδή την τοποθεσία που βρίσκεστε και με την φωτογραφία που θα αποστείλετε μπορούμε να δούμε πόσο σοβαρή είναι η πυρκαγιά σύμφωνα με την βλάστηση που καίει και την έκταση που πήρε.

 

Αμέσως εθελοντής της εθελοντικής ομάδας δασοπροστασίας ΑΤΛΑΣ θα ενημερώνει άμεσα την πυροσβεστική υπηρεσία ή το τμήμα δασών για την ακριβή τοποθεσία της πυρκαγιάς και την βλάστηση που καίει,δύο πολύ σημαντικές πληροφορίες για τις αρμόδιες υπηρεσίες για άμεση ανταπόκριση.

 

Με αυτό τον τρόπο όλοι μπορούμε να γίνουμε πολύτιμοι σύμμαχοι στην έγκαιρη αντιμετώπιση.
