DEPARTMENT OF TAXATION - SCAM AND QR CODE
The Department of Taxation informs that, misleading emails with the logo of the Government Gate "GOV are circulating. CY" which urge unsuspecting citizens to scan a QR code (QR
code), so that they get a return of F. .. .... They are also referred to as a communication email address, an erroneous email address referring to the new TAX FOR ALL (TFA) Computer System.
The Department draws the attention of the citizens to such messages which attempt to trick the user into opening suspicious files or following malicious links and urges those who have received such messages to ignore them.
It is noted that, F-returns. Π. Α. , Income Tax, etc. .. , they are done ONLY with a bank account, IBAN declared by the taxpayer in the Department, with safe procedures.
It is emphasized that any communication by the Tax Department with taxpayers through emails, takes place ONLY through email addresses that end at: @tax. mof. gov. cy.
