Cyprus is set to experience clear skies and temperatures reaching 39°C in inland areas today, with seasonal low pressure affecting the region through the weekend.
Today’s weather will be mainly clear with south-westerly to north-westerly winds blowing at weak to moderate strength, measuring 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale.
Wind strength will increase during the afternoon along southern coastal areas, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort. Sea conditions will gradually become slightly rough.
Maximum temperatures will reach 39°C inland, 31°C on western coasts, around 34°C on remaining coastal areas, and 30°C in higher mountainous regions.
The weekend and Monday will see predominantly clear conditions, though increased cloud cover is expected during midday hours. Isolated showers are forecast for Sunday and Monday, primarily affecting mountainous areas.
Saturday’s temperatures will remain relatively stable, continuing above average climatological values. A gradual slight decrease is expected on Sunday and Monday.
