STRIKE BY COMPANIES IN ISRAEL TO TEMPORARILY TRANSFER THEIR EMPLOYEES TO CYPRUS - LOOKING FOR ROOMS IN LARNACA

Estimates that the conflict in the Middle East will continue in the coming period are forcing international companies in Israel to look for places outside the country to transport their employees.

According to information provided by Filenews from competent sources, in the last 24 hours some international companies contacted Larnaca institutions, looking for rooms to temporarily transfer their staff to a safe place, as they reported, for a period of two to three weeks. For this reason, rooms are being sought in hotel units, some of which have begun to have even a small availability, since due to the special flights that have been taking place since last Tuesday, several Israelis residing in the city and the tourist area have departed.

Nevertheless, occupancy levels remain at unprecedented levels for the time in Larnaca (over 90%), due to the fact that Israelis are constantly arriving by boats at the marina, while the arrivals of others who hope to find a place on one of the special flights operated through Larnaca Airport continue.

In the last 24 hours, as reported by CyBC, 22 new boats arrived at Larnaca marina carrying 150 people. So far, more than 140 boats from Israel with 600 passengers have been served at Larnaca marina. Within the day, meanwhile, another 24 special flights are scheduled from Larnaca Airport to Israel and Jordan that will repatriate Israelis.
