A huge breath of fresh air on a practical and psychological level is the discovery today of very large quantities of water in an experimental well carried out in the community of Agia Marina Chrysochous, stressed the president of the Paphos EDA.
Charalambos Pittokopitis expressed great satisfaction with the very large quantities of water detected in the borehole and stressed that two new boreholes are planned in the area, expressing the hope that the same impressive results will be obtained from there.
This particular borehole, stressed the president of the Paphos EOA, is of the order of 70 tons of water per hour and is a huge development, especially for the Polis Chrysochous district, which is facing a major water problem.
Within the next few days, he pointed out, the relevant facilities will be made to channel this quantity to the tanks of the water supply of Agia Marina in order to meet the needs of the surrounding communities.
Today's news, concluded the president of the Paphos HOA, is even more encouraging, from the fact that the authorities have found that the water found today is of very good quality and therefore drinkable.
