The long delay in the completion of the construction of an overpass on Tassos Papadopoulos Avenue continues to cause concern for the safety of citizens, but also questions to institutions and city officials as to where the whole process is located.
On the occasion of the delay that is already being recorded, the Paphos MP of DIKO, Chrysanthos Savvidis, made a new intervention, pointing out that despite the repeated reports on the need for the immediate implementation of the project, no practical action has been taken so far.
The competent bodies must fully assume their responsibilities and take the necessary measures for the completion of the project without further delays, he stresses. Any additional delay endangers human lives and especially those of the hundreds of students who use this avenue every day to get to the many schools in the area, concludes Mr. Savvidis.
