 Pafos Live 7 June 2025

The Municipality of Paphos announced the signing of the contract for the execution of works for the configuration of the new premises that will house the headquarters of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism in the city.

According to a relevant announcement, the contract was signed between the Municipality of Paphos, as the Contracting Authority, and the contractor B.K.V. Exelixis General Constructions Ltd. On behalf of the contracting parties, the Mayor of Paphos Mr. Phaedon Phaedon and the Director of the company Mr. Dimitris Konteatis signed on behalf of the contracting parties.

The Municipality of Paphos undertakes the implementation of this important project on behalf of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, which finances the effort with a budget of €234,430.00, including VAT. The duration of the implementation was set at six months, providing for strict adherence to the schedule, so that the project could be delivered earlier than the specified implementation date.

The new offices will house the four permanent employees of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and will function as the main central information and information point for visitors to Paphos.

The choice of location in the historic center, in the immediate vicinity of the central bus station, where a large volume of tourists is channelled, but also with the two large museums that are soon to be open, signals the further enhancement of life within the city.

This project clearly highlights our strategic pursuit to revitalise the centre of Paphos, promoting the quality of life of the residents and enhancing the tourist and cultural image of the city.

The cooperation between the Local Authority and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism proves the effectiveness and the fast pace of implementation of projects that have a direct and positive impact on the local community.

The Municipality of Paphos is proud to be at the forefront of the implementation of a project that will raise the bar of the quality of services provided to visitors to the city as an important tourist destination with modern infrastructure.
