FOREIGN NATIONALS FIND REFUGE IN CYPRUS - SHIP WITH MORE THAN 1,500 ARRIVED

 Filenews 18 June 2025

More than 1500 foreign nationals found refuge in Cyprus through the ship "Crown Iris", which arrived in the morning from Haifa to the port of Larnaca.

According to information from Filenews, the majority of them are American nationals, while among them are Canadians, Argentines and Australians.

Most passengers have arranged accommodation in Cyprus and in the next few hours they will depart with flights from Larnaca Airport to their home countries.

There are no Cypriot nationals on the ship that arrived in Cyprus, while the operation to remove them is not part of the Estia plan.

It is noted that this ship will also make four routes from Cyprus to Israel, in order to transport trapped Israelis to their country.

According to a report by the "Times of Israel", the shipping company Mano Maritime announced that the Israelis will depart from the port of Limassol, with the luxury ship "Crown Iris", with a capacity of 2,000 passengers.

The first route is expected to take place today, if it is deemed safe and approved by the competent Israeli authorities. After its arrival in Israel, the ship will return to Limassol.

According to the publication, prices range between €399 and €650 per person, and bookings are made exclusively through the company's website.

Information from Filenews reports that the ship "Crown Iris" is cruising at the Port of Larnaca.
