Ready to take action, the 44-year-old Azerbaijani man who was arrested for spying for Iran appeared to his bosses. According to information from Alpha, a message was found on his mobile phone, informing the hitherto unknown recipient that he was ready to execute instructions.
This indicates that the 44-year-old was probably moving to the next stage, i.e. from preparation to executing a strike against military targets, which was probably related to his passage the day before his arrest, to the air base in Paphos, where he was monitoring American transports.

Investigations are being carried out in various directions by the Anti-Narcotics Agency in an attempt to identify the recipients, as well as the suppliers of the large amount of cocaine found last night in the luggage of a 19-year-old from Italy. This is the second largest amount of cocaine seized in 2025 by members of the YKAN, with the total quantity for the entire year reaching, so far, 30 kilos.
The 19-year-old, who is coming to our country for the first time, arrived around 9 p.m. at Larnaca Airport from Brazil, via Great Britain. Members of the Police Department, in cooperation with the Customs Authorities, searched her luggage and found 13 packages containing cocaine with a gross weight of 8 kg and 760 grams. She was subsequently arrested and taken to the Larnaca Police Station for interrogation. According to information from Filenews, so far she keeps her mouth hermetically closed and refuses to cooperate with the Police. Within the day, she is expected to be brought before the Larnaca District Court, for the issuance of a detention order.
The tests so far, according to police sources, have shown that the cocaine was intended for the Cypriot market. Indicative of the large quantity found is the fact that the proceeds from its sale would have reached €1 million.
The Larnaca Police Station will inform Interpol in order to notify the Brazilian authorities and to carry out investigations into the suppliers of the drugs. As in other cases, it is believed that this is an international circuit that supplies drug traffickers to Cyprus.
