The Local Beaches Committee of the Municipality of Ierokipia submitted to the Central Committee of Beaches a Use Plan for the "Kathari" Beach in Timi, as provided for in the Beach Protection Law.
The Plan outlines the way in which the various services and facilities will be located on the beach in question and will be approved by the Central Beaches Committee. At the same time, the Municipality has submitted a request to the Department of Land Registry and Surveying for the opening of the public road leading to the beach.
The Municipality of Ierokipia has submitted a request to the Turkish Cypriot Property Management Service for the lease of a part of a Turkish Cypriot plot of 2650 sq.m., in order to create a refreshment area, a snack-bar type, and an organized parking space.
Today, the Mayor Nikos Palios, the Deputy Mayor of Timi Giorgos Polykarpou and a group of service executives, were on the beach in order to plan some works for the improvement of the beach and its infrastructure, pending the approval of the Use Plan by the Central Committee of Beaches.
