Approximately 70 attended the presentation by Maureen
Watt, Director of Angel Guardians and Golden Leaves Cyprus Crematorium Ltd., on
Friday, May 9th in the Palm Room of the Kamares Club.
Maureen stated that she is waiting for the final sign off for the build from the Planning Department. It will be in Agia Varvara, turn off at Junction 47, in the industrial estate on the left with Elea golf course on the right – if you are standing on the land facing the sea. It is hoped to be open in the summer of 2026.
If
anyone wishes to complete the form, they can take it directly to the Paphos district
office in the Old Town, building past the Post Office, opposite Caffe Nero, 1st floor, with ID and register, cost is €30 (cash only). The district office keeps
the original and issues a copy of the form for you to keep. If you can’t
go in person, you may get the Mukhtar to stamp it and someone can take it on
your behalf.
The
crematorium will be open to all funeral directors around the island.
There
will be 2 service chapels, a garden of remembrance, a coffee shop, possibly a
florist and there will be access for live streaming.
