Two years later, and the operation of the foreclosure court still remains on paper. The relevant legislation was approved in the autumn of 2023, however, the Supreme Court has not yet proceeded with the establishment and operation of the special jurisdiction to deal with cases of sale of main residences worth up to €350,000.
It would be good to have an official position from the competent authority on whether the foreclosure court, which hundreds of borrowers are expecting, will finally work. At the same time, if the operation of this jurisdiction is not in the plans, it would be good to provide another solution to the issue, through the acceleration of the administration of justice, as the delay has many negative effects on the economy.
