The visitor centre at the Kourion archaeological site will close for seven months starting June 1 due to conservation and upgrade works, the Department of Antiquities announced on Thursday.
The facility will remain closed until December 31, 2025, according to a statement from the Department of Antiquities, which operates under Cyprus’s Deputy Ministry of Culture.
Basic visitor services including sanitary facilities, vending machines and an information desk will continue to be available through temporary installations within the archaeological site, the department said. The visitor centre shop will not operate during the closure period.
The department apologised for any inconvenience the temporary closure might cause to visitors.
