With 32 votes in favour and 1 against, the bill was approved, which was put as an urgent issue in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, which gives the possibility of registration or transfer of vehicles that are under revocation, provided that the buyer is aware of the condition of the vehicle he is buying.
As the President of the Transport Committee, Marinos Mousouttas, said before the Plenary Session of the House, the amendment concerns vehicles that are under revocation and according to the legislation cannot be transferred or registered for the first time, in order to give this right, provided that a decree issued by the competent Minister will indicate a form that will be signed by both the buyer and the seller that he is informed that the vehicle needs to be recalled, so that someone does not fall into the trap of buying something without knowing that there is something defective on it. The purpose that is being done, as he said, is to be able to operate trade on the open market so that transfers or even first registrations can be made.
As he said, it goes without saying that "the period is what is referred to in the legislation passed last December and by decree of the competent minister that set the eight months that began on February 3 and 18 months for the rest of the recalls except airbags".
