The Ministry of Education announced the conduct of certification examinations for the adequate knowledge of basic elements of the Contemporary Political and Social Reality of Cyprus for third-country nationals who are interested in obtaining the status of long-term resident in the Republic of Cyprus or in becoming naturalized.
With a relevant announcement, the Examinations Service of the Ministry of Education informs the public that on Saturday, July 5, 2025, it is organizing an Examination for the Certification of Adequate Knowledge of Basic Elements of the Contemporary Political and Social Reality of Cyprus for Third Country Nationals.
Interested parties can apply for participation in the above exam only electronically through JCC Smart https://www.jccsmart.com/login by paying the corresponding fees, which amount to €20, from Tuesday 20 May 2025 to Tuesday 3 June 2025.
The information that will be filled in the application form must be absolutely correct and fully identical to those of the candidates' identity card or passport, because they will be used both to inform the candidates about the examination centers, the time of the examination, etc., as well as for the issuance of a Certificate of Success.
All valid applicants, at a later stage, will be informed about all the details of the exam (examination center, exam time, candidate number, instructions to candidates, etc.).

The thematic units are about basic information and not about full knowledge of details. In addition to Greek, this information is also available in other languages.
It is emphasized that the exam language is Greek.
