The process of loading and shipping the mobile desalination units donated by the United Arab Emirates to Cyprus has begun.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, signed today in Dubai a bilateral arrangement with the Assistant Minister for Development Affairs and International Organisations of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Sultan Al Shamsi, for the transfer of mobile desalination plants to Cyprus.

The photos are from the process of loading the units.

They are expected to depart within the next few hours.
Next week, a team of engineers from the UAE will be in Cyprus to manage the units to coordinate and collaborate on their installation and activation.

With this arrangement, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cyprus will be able to increase the daily production of desalinated water by fifteen thousand cubic meters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to thank the authorities of the friendly country of the United Arab Emirates for the immediate response to Cyprus' request, which demonstrates the strategic partnership that has developed between the two states, as well as the particular focus of joint initiatives on issues that decisively affect the daily lives of citizens.
