In the past, the government and banks were in discussions about the placement of automated teller machines (ATMs) in remote or other areas that could not be easily served due to the banks' decision to close several of their branches.
According to the Association of Banks, the new ATMs will be installed in 11 areas and it is expected that most of them will be operational in May.
Specifically, the new ATMs will operate:
1/ Argaka
2/ Salamiou
3/ Pissouri
4/ Pelendri
5/ Ertagonia
6/ Parekklisia
7/ Astromeriti
8/ Lythrodonda
9/ Xylotymbou
10/ Avgorou
11/ Frenaros
Over 400 cashback points
In addition to the efforts made to serve customers from ATMs, more than 400 cashback points are operating simultaneously throughout Cyprus.
It is reminded that according to the Cashback Plan, retail businesses, such as supermarkets, bakeries, kiosks, gas stations, etc., have the opportunity to secure cash of up to €100 per transaction.
