The Municipality of Paphos, in collaboration with the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, supports the historic institution of the Christodoula March 50 years after the first march. This year and on the occasion of this special anniversary, the established march will not take place. Instead, Christodoula's historic suitcase, a symbol of the ongoing effort to fight cancer, will be carried to all cities of Cyprus, in a symbolic move that reminds us of the goal of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.
The Municipality of Paphos will welcome the historic suitcase on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, around 11.00 a.m. at the entrance of the Paphos Municipal Hall. Volunteers, runners and members of the Paphos Municipal Council will then transport the suitcase to the Port of Kato Paphos in a gesture of solidarity and support for the work of the Anti-Cancer Society.
This symbolic action aims to raise public awareness of the importance of preventing and supporting those affected by cancer, while reminding us of the ongoing need for unity and volunteering in the community.
