The new fashion of young people throwing firecrackers at the hood of each other's sweatshirts is causing shock, resulting in serious head injuries.
According to information from Sigma, young people are now not only gathering and throwing firecrackers at the risk of being maimed, but they are now also throwing firecrackers at the hood of each other's sweatshirts.
Because of this "new fashion", two minors are already hospitalized at Makarios Hospital, with burns and injuries near the head, and one incident with minor injuries in the outpatient department.
The Scientific Director of Makarios Hospital, Dr. Christos Minas, appealed to young people to stay away from firecrackers, whether factory-made or homemade, and sparklers, as their use is very dangerous and often the damage is irreversible.
He also spoke about the problems that may arise with this new fashion.
