Traffic traffic is particularly increased on a daily basis, especially in the mornings in Paphos.
On all the main road arteries, as well as the entrances to the city, the situation is characterized as suffocating by the standards of Paphos, creating queues of immobilized or moving cars at a turtle's pace. A particular problem, however, is recorded at a point that until recently was not such an intense problem and which is now turning into the number one headache of the Traffic Police.
This is the roundabout of Paphos Hospital, where the situation is characterized as very dangerous for traffic traffic, since the flow of vehicles is done in a way that makes visible the possibility of road collisions on a permanent basis.
The situation was expected to be aggravated in the center of Paphos with the combination of the ongoing redevelopment works, albeit in less intensity and extent now. However, the situation on most days causes embarrassment to the competent authorities and a nerve test for motorists.
Police crews were all days from early in the morning at key points of the road network trying to ease the situation, however the delays and queues recorded were unusual for the data of Paphos, at points such as the silo road, from Mesogi to the Paphos Hospital, Tassos Papadopoulos Avenue from Biofos to EAC and mainly at the Hospital junction, as well as all the main streets leading to the shopping center, such as Ellados, Evagoras Pallikaridis, Griva Digeni Avenu
