OVERNIGHT WORKS ON THE MOTORWAYS FROM NICOSIA TO PAPHOS - WHICH SECTIONS ARE CLOSED [28, 29 & 30 April]

 Filenews 28 April 2025

Sections of the Nicosia-Limassol and Limassol-Paphos motorways will be closed, due to overnight works, with the Police recommending special attention to passing vehicle drivers.

On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, the works will be carried out at the height of the Kotsiatis area, from 8.00 p.m. tonight, Monday, April 28, until 5.30 a.m. tomorrow Tuesday, while they will continue on Tuesday evening, until Wednesday morning, [30/04] at the same hours.

During the works, all three lanes of traffic will be closed in the direction to Limassol, for a distance of approximately three (3) kilometers, at the exit to Kotsiatis. Traffic will be diverted to the corresponding section of the motorway in the direction to Nicosia, which will operate in both directions.

The exit to Kotsiatis will also be closed, with traffic being channelled through the exit to Agia Varvara and the old Nicosia-Limassol road.

Works will also be carried out on sections of the Nicosia-Limassol and Limassol-Paphos motorways, between the exit to Skarinou and the exit to Petra tou Romiou, from tonight Monday until next Wednesday, April 30.

The works will be carried out in both directions of the motorways from 9.00 in the evening until 6.00 in the morning of the next day. During the works, the right lane will be partially closed, with a length of about 200 meters, and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent traffic lane.

It is reminded that the Limassol-Nicosia motorway, in the section next to the Kalavasos bridge, has been closed to traffic in the direction to Nicosia since January 30, due to works for the repair and upgrade of the bridge. Traffic from Limassol to Nicosia is diverted to the motorway to Limassol, which operates in both directions, to Limassol and to Nicosia.

According to an announcement by the Department of Public Works, the works are expected to be completed on May 15.

The Police recommends caution to passing vehicle drivers, who are asked to drive their vehicles at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front, and comply with the temporary road signs in the area of road works.
