The Police warn the public about the new fraud through fake messages circulated through social networks or mobile phones and allegedly concern payments for traffic violations.
As stated in an announcement, citizens have received messages inviting them to click on electronic links in order to pay extrajudicial fees for violations they have not committed. These messages are deceptive and aim to extract money or personal data from users.

The Police make it clear that they do not communicate with citizens in this way and call on the public to be particularly careful.

What to do if you receive such a message:
- Don't open suspicious links
- Do not provide personal or banking information
- Ignore and delete the message
- Inform the Police if you suspect an attempted fraud
The Police urge citizens to be vigilant and inform friends and family about such malicious practices.
