Cyprus is set to experience a shift in weather over the coming days, with current warm conditions giving way to cooler temperatures and potential storms by the weekend, according to the Department of Meteorology.
The weather on Thursday will be mainly fine with occasional medium and high cloud coverage.
Temperatures will reach 30 degrees Celsius inland, approximately 25 degrees in coastal areas, and 22 degrees in higher mountain regions.
Winds will blow primarily from the northeast to southeast, ranging from light to moderate at 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, with smooth to slight seas.
The Department of Meteorology forecasts a gradual deterioration in conditions starting Friday, when increased medium and high cloud coverage will accompany a slight temperature decrease across the island.
The downward trend will continue into Saturday, when localised increased cloud formations may produce isolated rainfall in some areas.
Sunday will bring more pronounced changes, with initially partly cloudy conditions developing into predominantly overcast skies accompanied by local rainfall and isolated thunderstorms in various regions.
Temperatures will experience a noticeable drop throughout the weekend, eventually settling around seasonal averages by Sunday.
The shift from warm, stable conditions to more unsettled weather comes as the island prepares for the upcoming tourism season, with officials monitoring conditions closely for any potential impacts on outdoor activities and events.
