SERIES OF PROJECTS PROMOTED BY KS EMBA

The community authority is promoting the beautification and regeneration of the core of the Emba community, community leader Marios Metaxas told CNA, adding that they have secured the planning permit, have proceeded with consultations with the various departments, while also assessing that they are on a "good track."

In statements to CNA, Mr. Metaxas said that they also had a meeting with the competent Minister, who promised them that this project would be included in the 2026 budget in order for it to begin.

He then referred to the project of the master plan of Embas Avenue from Diplarkakia to the area of ​​Agios Charalambos.

The project includes, he continued, the reconstruction of the road, while he then referred to the overhead cables that will be removed and electricity poles, sidewalks and bike paths will be installed. The project, he noted, will start from the entrance to Diplarkakia and will end up in the area of ​​the church of Agios Charalambos. Also, as he said, there are two junctions that will be built soon on Petridion Avenue, which ends at Embas Avenue. 

Specifically, he explained, the traffic junction will be repaired to avoid traffic jams. The project will be carried out by the Department of Public Works and its cost, as he explained, is around €65,000.

The community authority, Mr. Metaxas noted, is promoting the construction of a pedestrian crossing on the road from Embas High School to Tala with all the necessary equipment to ensure the smooth passage of students from the High School side, with the aim of ensuring the safety of the students.  

They have also secured five urban planning permits for green space as a community and the building permit is progressing. Mr. Metaxas estimated that the aforementioned projects will begin in Emba in the second half of 2026, he concluded.
