The management of the Central Prisons managed to deal a big blow yesterday to the circuits that put mobile phones in the prisoners' cells.
In cooperation with the Police and after investigations, 14 mobile phones were found in a wing of the closed prison. The cells were turned upside down until the mobile phones were found which were carefully hidden.
The prison searches were long and bore fruit, since in addition to mobile phones, a small amount of drugs was found. All the objects found were taken by the Police for scientific examinations and mainly to see with whom the convicts had communication.
At the same time, according to information from Filenews, yesterday an attempt to pass mobile phones into the prison from the buffer zone in Agios Pavlos was stopped.
The incident is being investigated so that the cameras can identify the person who attempted to throw mobile phones into prison.
It is noted that the day before yesterday, seven mobile phones were found hidden in walls, while a few days ago 14 mobile phones with chargers camouflaged in a small refrigerator that had been ordered by a lifelong resident. For the case, three persons related to the prisoner were arrested.
