For almost a year now, construction works have been carried out on the old Paphos-Limassol road for the stabilization of a section of the road, near Petra tou Romiou (near the CTO refreshment bar in Petra tou Romiou).
The works started on May 24 and are expected to be completed in mid-May 2025. During the works, the section of the road that is being reconstructed is not available to traffic. At the same point, until mid-June, works are being carried out for the construction of road stabilization measures.
Specifically, the works are being carried out for the stabilization of the slope and the floor of the road surface, as part of the 2nd Phase of the works being carried out on the road, after the major landslides that had occurred since 2019.
