On Sunday 9 March 2025, from 07:00 to 13:00, a marathon race will take place in Paphos, starting from Petra tou Romiou and finishing at the Medieval Castle of Kato Pafos.
As stated in a police announcement, the runners will follow the route through the old Limassol – Paphos road (B6), passing through the communities of Kouklia, Mandria, Timi, Acheleia, Koloni and ending in Paphos.
Traffic interruptions and traffic arrangements
🔹 Lane closure to Paphos:
- From the junction of B6 with the entrance of Mandria (near the ALFAMEGA supermarket) to the roundabout of Koloni.
- Vehicles will be directed to the motorway.
- Closing duration: 07:00 – 12:30.
🔹 Access to Paphos Airport:
- It will remain open but controlled by the police.
- The direction lane to Limassol will operate normally.
Additional traffic arrangements for the half marathon and the 10 km race.
Simultaneously with the marathon, half marathon and 10 km races will be held from 08:00 to 11:30 in Kato Paphos.
Roads to be closed (07:45 – 12:45):
- Poseidonos Avenue (from the Medieval Castle to Geroskipou beach).
- Eratous Avenue.
- All vertical roads connecting the two avenues.
Instructions to drivers
Drivers are advised to avoid affected routes during race times.
Comply with traffic signs and the instructions of police officers and traffic wardens to avoid inconvenience.
