To Τρίο ΑΕΟΝ με την Μαρίζα Αναστασιάδη, τον Σάββα Χριστοδούλου και την Μαριάννα Γεωργίου επιστρέφει στο Μαρκίδειο Θέατρο, την Κυριακή 6 Απριλίου, με μια συναυλία εμπνευσμένη από την πλούσια μουσική κληρονομιά της Κύπρου, προωθώντας σύγχρονους Κύπριους αλλά και Ελλαδίτες συνθέτες. Σκοπός αυτής της συναυλίας είναι η ανάπτυξη της πολιτιστικής δημιουργίας και η παρουσίαση έργων που σπάνια εκτελούνται. Η συναυλία θα περιλαμβάνει έργα των Χάρη Σοφοκλέους, Ευαγόρα Καραγιώργη, Χρίστου Σαμαρά αλλά και δυο παγκόσμιες πρεμιέρες. Το κομμάτι με τίτλο ‘ΑΝΑERO’ του Αντρέα Τσιάρτα για σόλο φλάουτο, και την «Κυπριακή Σουίτα» που περιλαμβάνει παραδοσιακά Κυπριακά τραγούδια ειδικά διασκευασμένα για το τριο από τον καταξιωμένο Νεοκλή Νεοφυτίδη. Με αυτή τη συναυλία το Τριο ΑΕΟΝ συμβάλλει τόσο στην προώθηση όσο και στην εξέλιξη του συγκεκριμένου ρεπερτορίου προσφέροντας στο κοινό μια μοναδική ευκαιρία να ανακαλύψει νέες ηχητικές προοπτικές της Μεσογείου.

Λίγα λόγια για τους μουσικούς:

Η διακεκριμένη Κύπρια σοπράνο, Μαρίζα Αναστασιάδη, έχει στο βιογραφικό της σημαντικές συνεργασίες με μαέστρους και καλλιτέχνες από Ευρώπη και Αμερική και ένα πλούσιο ρεπερτόριο που εκτείνεται από έργα της Μεσαιωνικής μέχρι και της Σύγχρονης εποχής. Έχει ερμηνεύσει σημαντικούς ρόλους από το οπερατικό ρεπερτόριο (Contessa από “Le Nozze di Figaro”, Lauretta από “Gianni Schicchi”, Διδούς, από “Διδώ και Αινείας”) και έχει συνεργαστεί με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα Κύπρου, αλλά και την Κρατική Ορχήστρα Πράγας, τη Συμφωνική ορχήστρα Δούναβη και την Savaria Baroque Orchestra. Έχει λάβει βραβεία σε Πανευρωπαϊκούς και Διεθνείς Διαγωνισμούς τραγουδιού και σημαντικές διακρίσεις.

Ο Σάββας Χριστοδούλου γεννήθηκε στη Λεμεσό και άρχισε μαθήματα φλάουτου σε νεαρή ηλικία. Το 2005 έγινε σπουδαστής του Κρατικού Κονσερβατόριου της Πράγας από το οποίο και αποφοίτησε το 2010. Την ίδια χρονιά έγινε δεκτός στην μουσική ακαδημία της Ουτρέχτης για να συνεχίσει τις σπουδές του στην τάξη του παγκοσμίου φήμης σολίστ Aldo Baerten. Παράλληλα μελέτησε μπαρόκ ερμηνεία με τον κορυφαίο του είδους Wilbert Hazelzet. Τον Ιούνιο του 2012 πήρε τον τίτλο Bachelor of music in flute performance and education με άριστα παμψηφεί. Τον Νοέμβριο του 2015 πήρε το Master of music diploma in stage performance με διθυραμβικές κριτικές. Από το 1999 έως το 2004 ήτανε μέλος στην Κρατική Ορχήστρα Νέων Κύπρου και το 2001 επιλέχθηκε ως πρώτο φλάουτο. Υπήρξε μέλος στις συμφωνικές ορχήστρες του Κονσερβατορίου Πράγας και Ουτρέχτης αντίστοιχα. Εμφανίζεται σε ατομικά ρεσιτάλ και συναυλίες μουσικής δωματίου σε Ολλανδία, Βέλγιο, Τσεχία, Ελλάδα και Κύπρο. Από τον Ιούνιο του 2015 είναι έκτακτο μέλος της Συμφωνικής Ορχήστρας Κύπρου και διδάσκει φλάουτο στην Ακαδημία της Συμφωνικής ορχήστρας νέων Κύπρου και στο Μουσικό Σχολείο Πάφου.

Η νεαρή Κύπρια πιανίστα Μαριάννα Γεωργίου ολοκλήρωσε τις προπτυχιακές και μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Νότινγχαμ στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, όπου διακρίθηκε ως μέλος διάφορων οργανικών συνόλων και συμμετείχε σε σεμινάρια με διακεκριμένους πιανίστες. Μετά την επιστροφή της στην Κύπρο, εμφανίζεται τακτικά ως σολίστ και μέλος συνόλων μουσικής δωματίου σε συναυλίες τόσο στην Κύπρο όσο και στο εξωτερικό, εμπλουτίζοντας την καλλιτεχνική της εμπειρία μέσω διεθνών συνεργασιών και ποικίλων ακροατηρίων.
Το ενδιαφέρον της για τη σύγχρονη μουσική δημιουργία και τις διεπιστημονικές συνεργασίες αντικατοπτρίζεται στη συμμετοχή της σε σημαντικές καλλιτεχνικές εκδηλώσεις, όπως η Τελετή Λήξης των εορτασμών της Πολιτιστικής Πρωτεύουσας της Ευρώπης Πάφος2017, η περιπατική συναυλία με σύγχρονη μουσική για πιάνο «Οδός Πλήκτρων - Πέντε Βήματα στο Μέλλον» και θεματικές συναυλίες όπως «Ο Κλασικός Θεοδωράκης», «Έξι&Πέντε» και το σόλο ρεσιτάλ-πρότζεκτ με τίτλο «Visions Fugitives». Το πρόγραμμα περιλάμβανε ρεπερτόριο του 20ού και 21ου αιώνα, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της παγκόσμιας πρεμιέρας του έργου «Ρύαξ» της καταξιωμένης Κύπριας συνθέτριας Χριστίνας Αθηνοδώρου. Από τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2016, διδάσκει στο Μουσικό Σχολείο Πάφου.
Η ενασχόλησή της με τη μελέτη και την ερμηνεία έργων Κυπρίων συνθετών υπογραμμίζει τη δέσμευσή της να καλλιεργεί μουσικές παραδόσεις και να τις συνδέει με σύγχρονες πολιτισμικές τάσεις. Επιπλέον, οι συνεργασίες της με συνθέτες, πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς και διεθνείς κοινότητες δημιουργούν εύφορο έδαφος για καλλιτεχνική ανάπτυξη και ενισχύουν την παρουσία της σε ποικίλα πολιτιστικά περιβάλλοντα.

The AEON Trio, featuring Mariza Anastasiades, Savvas Christodoulou and Marianna Georgiou, returns to Markideio Theatre, on Sunday 6th of April, with a concert inspired by the rich musical heritage of Cyprus, showcasing contemporary Cypriot and Greek composers. The aim of this concert is to promote cultural creativity and present rarely performed works. The program includes compositions by the Cypriots Charis Sophocleous, Evagoras Karageorgis, and the Greek Christos Samaras, along with two world premieres: a solo flute piece by Andreas Tsiartas called ‘ANAERO’ and a Cypriot Suite, featuring traditional Cypriot songs especially arranged for the Trio by the renowned Neoklis Neophytides. With this concert, the Trio AEON contributes both to the promotion and evolution of this repertoire, offering the audience a unique opportunity to explore new sonic perspectives of the Mediterranean.

A few words about the musicians:

Mariza Anastasiades: The rich and multidimensional repertoire of the distinguished Cypriot soprano Mariza Anastasiades extends from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era. Her resume includes important collaborations with conductors and artists from Europe and America. In September 2021, as part of the Cyprus International Festival, she performed the leading role of Bonadea in the contemporary opera "Argos Sidiros" by Andis Scordis, with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Zoe Tsokanou. Ms. Anastasiades has performed important roles from the operatic repertoire. Some of them are: the role of Contessa from the opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" by W.A.Mozart at the Greek Opera Festival in 2017, the role of Lauretta in the opera "Gianni Schicchi" by G. Puccini with the Varna International Orchestra under the direction by conductor Gregory Buchalter, the leading role of Dido in the opera "Dido and Aeneas" by Henry Purcell and the role of the Mother from the Opera "Amahl and the Night Visitors", in a Kyrenia Opera production, held in Vienna in December 2021. In November 2022 she had her first collaboration with conductor Günter Neuhold in a concert of Czech repertoire together with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. In 2018 she participated in a gala concert with the orchestra of the Prague State Opera conducted by Richard Hein, as part of the Prague Opernfest with the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also collaborated with the Danube Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Andreas Déak in a series of concerts at the Danube Palace Concert Hall, as well as with conductor Pál Németh and the Savaria Baroque Orchestra in Budapest. Mrs. Anastasiades has received awards in Pan-European and International Singing Competitions. Her major honors include, among others, First Prize at the Concours de musique du Canada Section Mauricie et Center du Québec in June 2021 and Grand Prix at the Stojan Stojanov-Gančev Singing Competition. Ms. Anastasiades' upcoming performances include her Netherlands debut in March 2024, with recitals in The Hague and Amsterdam. In April 2024, together with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra she will be part of W. A. Mozart's Requiem for two concerts in Nicosia and Limassol. On July 2024 Ms. Anastasiades will have the role of Donna Elvira in the opera "Don Giovanni" at the Vienna Opera Festival, and the role of Maria Callas in a production by Cypriot Paul Lambis that will take place in New York, London and Cyprus.

Savvas Christodoulou (flute): was born in Limassol where he began his musical studies at a young age. In 2005 he moved to Prague to study flute performance at the Prague National Conservatory from where he graduated in 2010. In the same year he was accepted at the Utrecht Conservatory to study with the world-famous flute soloist Aldo Baerten. During his time as a student, he was a member of the Conservatoire Symphony Orchestras in both Prague and Utrecht. He obtained his bachelor’s degree on flute performance and education with honors in 2012. In addition, he studied the piccolo with Gudrun Bourel and Baroque performance with the internationally renowned baroque flute specialist Wilbert Hazelzet. In 2015 he obtained his master’s degree in flute performance on stages. He participated in several Masterclasses worldwide with famous flutists such as Sir James Galway, Emmanuel Pahud, W.Bennett, P.L. Graf, M. Bellavance, S.Milan, D.Bouriakov and others. Alongside his teaching engagements at the Pafos and Limassol Music Lyceums, Savvas enjoys a performing career as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. He appears regularly in flute recitals and chamber music concerts in The Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece and Cyprus. He is a guest member of Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and he appears regularly with the Commandaria Orchestra. Savvas is also the founder of the Cyprus-based Quintus Wind Quintet and a member of the Ensemble Cyclamen.

The young Cypriot pianist Marianna Georgiou completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, where she excelled as a member of various instrumental ensembles and participated in various masterclasses with distinguished pianists. Upon her return to Cyprus, she regurarly appears as a soloist and member of chamber music ensembles in concerts both within Cyprus and abroad, enriching her artistic experience through international collaborations and diverse audiences.

Her deep passion for contemporary music creation and interdisciplinary collaborations in evident in her participation in major artistic events such as the Closing Ceremony of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 celebrations, the promenade concert with contemporary music for piano "Street of Keys - Five Steps into the Future," and thematic concerts such as "The Classical Theodorakis", ‘Exi&Pente’ and the solo recital-project titled "Fugitive Visions" with repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries that included the world premiere of the piece ‘Ryax’ by the renowned Cypriot composer Christina Athinodorou. Since September 2016, she has also been teaching at the Music School of Paphos.
Her involvement in activities that include the study and performance of works by Cypriot composers highlights her dedication to cultivating musical traditions and connecting them with contemporary cultural trends. Additionally, her collaborations with composers, cultural organisations and international communities provide fertile ground for the artistic development and enhance her presence in diverse cultural settings.
