The government is working on a specific solution for the proposed route of the last section of the airport-tourist area road.
The project remains unfinished due to various obstacles raised by government departments and mainly the environment service for the site near the mouth of the river Ezousa. President Christodoulides announced last night at a charity dinner of the Pafos Chamber of Commerce and Industry that through the solutions elaborated by the state, all possible synergies are ensured and there can be economic development and environmental protection at the same time.
Regarding the Pafos – Polis Chrysochous road, he reiterated that this is a landmark project in the development of the entire region and the state is proceeding with the implementation of both phases of the Pafos – Polis Chrysochous Motorway, with the holistic solution for 4 traffic lanes, at a cost of 320 million euros, while it will include the connection in Mesogi and the entrance-exit in Marathounta.
