The Police draw the attention of the public in relation to fraud with fake company offers.
According to an announcement, lately, advertisements have been appearing on Social Media, from companies operating in Cyprus, which supposedly offer excellent offers for products at particularly low prices. However, these offers are deceptive and aim to extract personal data and sums of money from unsuspecting citizens.
The Police recommends caution and calls on the public not to trust offers of dubious origin and not to proceed with transactions without ensuring the validity of the advertisement.
Tips for safe navigation:
- Check the credibility of the website, advertising, and company.
- Don't share personal data or make payments without confirmation.
- Report any suspicious incident to the Police. (Cybercrime Sub-Directorate 22-808200).
