By decree of the Minister of Interior Constantinos Ioannou published today in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus, 209 new community leaders were appointed, in accordance with the provisions of article 17(4) of the Communities Law. The total number of parishes is 209.
The following persons are appointed as Community Heads of the Parishes of Municipalities and each person will exercise the duties of President of the Community for the Parish corresponding to the second column of the table next to his name, from today with the publication of the notification in the Official Gazette of the Republic and until the end of the month when the next General Elections of Community Leaders and Members of Community Councils will be held.
