The Municipality of Ierokipia, in the context of upgrading its social interventions in the community and strengthening social support services to citizens, participates in the program "Social Worker of the Neighbourhood".
"The neighbourhood social worker" will be the reference point for the residents of the municipality in the provision of social services, which will be offered free of charge. Aim of the program: ● To facilitate citizens' access to social services ● The immediate and flexible provision of social support services ● The empowerment and protection of vulnerable members ● The identification and immediate response to social needs and problems The Role of the Social Worker, ● Individual and Family counselling support ● First point of contact for psychosocial support ● Management of social problems ● Sensitization and activation of citizens in Local social issues ● Information, guidance and referral to competent services ● Home visits and field interventions.
The "Neighbourhood Social Worker" Program is part of the Project "Restructuring of Social Welfare Services", which is implemented under the Cohesion Policy Program "THALEIA 2021 – 2027" with the co-financing of the EU.
