The implementation of green taxation is expected in May, with the Government in the final phase of preparation, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos said.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ACTE General Assembly, he stressed that Cyprus is obliged to apply the specific fees, which come from past commitments.
He noted that the deadline for the implementation of green taxation is until next May and that at the moment the Government is ready, in anticipation, as he said, of a "final touch on compensatory measures" to complete the bills under preparation.
He also said that green taxation and compensatory measures will be announced at the same time.
The Tax Reform is presented
At the same time, he said that on February 26 there will be a specific presentation on the tax reform and after that it will enter the implementation process.
He noted that in the context of the tax reform, reference will be made and there will be provisions in relation to the green transition.
