DIGITAL CAMPAIGN OF OVER €175,000 TO PROMOTE THE DESTINATION PAPHOS

 Pafos Press 20 February 2025

Using advanced technology for more effective targeting

Within the framework of the joint effort of the private sector and the state to promote the destination in various countries that are sources of tourism, with the close cooperation of the Paphos PA.SY.XE and the Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company as well as the significant support of the hoteliers of the province, HERMES Airports and the Hellenic Bank, the collection of an amount of over €175,000 was achieved for the implementation of an intensive, targeted digital advertising campaign to promote the destination "Paphos" in various foreign markets.

For the sixth consecutive year, such an innovative action to promote a Tourist destination is being planned and executed based on the analysis and continuous evaluation of travel data through the utilization of Sojern, the largest Travel Data Marketing Engine in the world. Using advanced algorithmic technology, the interest of potential visitors for Cyprus/Paphos as well as for competing destinations is ''identified'' online and the promotional message is targeted and sent to potential visitors.

At the same time, the promotional tools include the innovative Exit Bee platform this year, ideal for creating an impression on the user and increasing website traffic, as well as the Channel Factory platform, specialized in YouTube and Facebook campaigns, in order to ensure the goal of expanding the communication channels of our messages to the potential visitor.

The campaign in question begins on February 20, 2025, peaks by the end of April
(a major booking period) and continues until mid-November with a reduction in intensity for the months of July-August. The entire effort is focused on first and second priority markets with satisfactory air connectivity such as those of the UK, Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Ireland, etc.

For more effective targeting, a series of promotional messages (Video & Banners) have been created presenting the destination “Paphos” with the ultimate goal of upgrading the awareness of the destination and increasing traffic throughout the province.

The campaign monitoring committee has regular contacts with the partners implementing the campaign (Modulus Marketing House & Global Media companies) and the data and results are systematically evaluated so that if necessary adjustments are needed, this can be done in a timely manner.

The Paphos Tourism and Tourism Authority of Paphos warmly thank the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the individual hoteliers, the Hellenic Bank and Hermes airports for their contribution to this very important effort.

Additionally, the need is expressed to continue and further strengthen the effort in the coming years in order to attract higher-income visitors and expand the operation of the "Destination Paphos" on a year-round basis.
