Charlotte Storer Jazz Quartet consists of British Cypriot Jazz vocalist Charlotte Storer who has earned quiet reverence across discerning Jazz circles for her authentic style preserving the art form's most sophisticated traditions. Her unconventional journey began in between border checkpoints in the world’s last divided capital - Nicosia, where she emerged from a Jazz peacebuilding program under the mentorship of New York Jazz Ambassadors. Now established as a leading voice in Cyprus's Jazz scene, Storer has led tours in Greece, Germany and The Netherlands and performed extensively in the UK building her reputation through intimate venues and her nuanced interpretations. Her 2023 debut album 'Meandering' on Gut String Records pairs her with a stellar trio featuring Ofer Landsberg, Uli Glassmann and Eric Ineke, breathing new perspectives into rare Jazz standards while adding original lyrics to compositions by bebop luminaries Tadd Dameron and Charlie Parker. Charlotte is a graduate of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and holds a Masters in International Development. Presented by Music in the Mountains.
