Alarming are the data obtained by pafoslive on the use of vehicles by underage drivers in the district of Pafos. During 2024, a double-digit number of minors who had taken the wheel without a license and without holding the necessary safety certificates was identified and reported.
According to data from the Pafos Traffic Police, five minors were involved in road collisions since the first of the year, fortunately without serious injuries. In another ten cases, underage drivers were found driving vehicles of their parents or grandparents.
The pleasing thing is that the use of powered two-wheelers without a licence is showing a slight decline, but the use of cars by inexperienced drivers should be a concern for everyone.
