During the first quarter of 2025, the Municipality of Pafos is proceeding with the implementation of electronic applications for permits, stating its firm commitment to digital transformation and automation of its transactions with citizens and businesses.
In an announcement by the Municipality, it is stated that the process of electronic applications will concern the license to use a sidewalk (for the placement of tables and chairs), the license for retail sale of alcoholic beverages, the license to broadcast sound and the license to operate recreational and entertainment areas. Also the license to operate a public swimming pool.
As noted, these applications will not be accepted in paper form after the introduction of the relevant digital procedure.
In addition, it is planned to implement electronic invoicing in all transactions with suppliers of the Municipality. A specific update with appropriate instructions will be issued for these applications.
The announcement states that the aim of the Municipality is to make it possible and easy for all applications to be submitted electronically within 2025 in order to better serve and facilitate citizens, who will be able to be served immediately and flexibly, without having to go to the Municipality's Offices or the Citizen Service Center.
These existing service points will remain available for cases where the use of electronic means is not feasible.
