A service contract was signed today between the Municipality of Pafos and the Design Team, represented by Mr. Andreas Constantinou and Mrs. Irene Kleidara, who won the first prize in the competition for the implementation of the project for the creation of a Centre for Youth Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training in Paphos. On behalf of the Municipality of Pafos, the Mayor of Pafos, Mr. Phedon Phedonos, signed.
The project includes the construction of a new building with a total area of approximately 650 sq.m., which will host classrooms and conference rooms in Agios Theodoros parish, Paphos. At the same time, the maintenance and restoration of the listed building with an area of 2,274 sq.m., which will be converted into shops, offices and a restaurant in the same area, will take place.
The budget of the project amounts to €5.250.000,00 plus VAT, and includes the preparation of all required studies (basic and individual), for licensing and construction purposes, until the issuance of the Final Approval Certificate and the closing of the Final Account of the Construction Contract. The total remuneration of the team of designers will be 6.5% of the amount of the preliminary cost estimate of the contract.
The tender procedure, the evaluation of the tenders, the decision making and the signing of the final contract are expected to be completed by 15 May 2025. Construction of the project will begin on May 15, 2025 and is expected to be completed by May 15, 2026.
The Pafos Municipality continues to invest in upgrading its infrastructure, with the aim of enhancing youth entrepreneurship and promoting vocational training in the municipal area, thus contributing to the development of the local community.
