Shots fired at Kornos yesterday afternoon mobilized members of the Police Force.
Initial reports refer to shots being fired in an open area, where two cars were located, which left the area before the arrival of the police.
The scene has been cordoned off and investigations are ongoing.
Police are investigating whether the case may be related to the transfer of an injured man to a private clinic in Limassol and whether it was an attempted murder.

Police issued an arrest warrant against a 21-year-old foreigner in connection with an attempted murder case that occurred on Thursday in Kornos, in which a 30-year-old man was injured.
According to the Police, yesterday, Thursday, January 9, around 14:00 noon, a 30-year-old man met in the area of Kornos, with some persons, after telephone arrangement, for the purchase of a car.
Upon arrival at the designated area, he was approached by a vehicle, from which four unknown men exited, two of whom appeared to be in possession of a firearm. The 30-year-old started his car to flee the scene and it collided with the suspects' vehicle. During his escape he was shot and wounded.
Despite his serious injury, the 30-year-old managed to go alone to a private hospital in Limassol and tests revealed that he had injuries to his arm and right shoulder blade, with his health condition classified as critical.
Last night an arrest warrant was issued for a 21-year-old foreigner in connection with the attempted murder case.
The ICF of Larnaca continues the examinations.

The Police are investigating two cases of robbery, committed yesterday in Limassol, with common characteristics in the way the perpetrators act.
According to the evidence under examination in both cases, the victims were approached by two unknown persons, who were on a motorcycle.
The perpetrators, using force, stole bags from the victims and then fled in an unknown direction.
The first incident took place around 1.30pm, when a 60-year-old woman, while outside an apartment building in an area of Limassol, was approached by a motorcycle with two people on board.
The 60-year-old was attacked by the passenger of the motorcycle, who after hitting her in the abdomen, managed to steal her purse, which contained a sum of money.
The second incident took place ten minutes earlier (around 1.20pm), when an 86-year-old woman, while outside a store in Limassol, was approached by two people on a motorcycle.
The attackers managed to snatch her bag, which contained a sum of money and other personal belongings, with the passenger of the motorcycle pushing her, causing the 86-year-old to fall to the ground.
The complainant was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where she was detained for further treatment.
The ICF Limassol is investigating the two cases.

Murder is ultimately responsible for the death of a foreigner who was found dead on January 7 in a parking lot on the Acropolis.
Philenews reports that initially no criminal activity was investigated, since he did not have any external injuries.
However, an autopsy performed on his body today showed that his death was ultimately due to a criminal act.
The ICF Nicosia is now investigating a premeditated murder and steps are already being taken to establish how the foreigner from Pakistan was murdered.
