On Monday the weather will be mostly cloudy with localised showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hail may fall in a thunderstorm, while snowfall is expected in the higher mountains. The winds will blow initially variable, weak, 3 Beaufort to gradually become southwesterly to northwest to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a bit turbulent. The temperature will rise around 14 degrees in the interior, around 15 degrees on the coast and around 4 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will prevail.
Tonight the weather will remain mostly cloudy with localised showers and isolated thunderstorms. Snowfall is expected in the higher mountains. The winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast and on the north coast southeast, weak and transient to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 4 degrees in the interior, around 8 degrees on the coast and around -1 degree in the higher mountains. In the mountains and locally in the semi-mountainous areas frost will prevail.
On Tuesday, New Year's Eve, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times cloudy, with isolated showers or thunderstorms expected. Snow is expected to fall in the higher mountains. From the afternoon onwards the phenomena subside.
On Wednesday and Thursday the weather will be mostly clear with locally increased clouds.
The temperature until Thursday will gradually rise to hover near average climatic values. The height of snow on the highest peaks of Troodos, at the time of issue of the bulletin, was 14 cm.
