The senior Executive Engineer of the Water Development Department, Gianna Oikonomidou, spoke about the situation at the dams on Sigma's Mesimeri and Kati Broadcast.

The total inflow since the start of the hydrological year that began on October 1 stands at 7.2 million meters of water, while total dam capacity rose slightly to 25.8 from 25.4% on December 23. low levels, compared to last year's occupancy which was at 45.5%", he said adding that the positive thing is that the flow from rivers to dams has started".
"We definitely need much higher rain heights to get large inflows," he said.

The three dams of Paphos – Asprokremos, Kanavi and Mavrokolympos – collected 325,000 cubic meters of water in the last four days out of 1.6 million cubic meters of water that flowed into the Pangypria dams, according to an Officer of the Water Development Department.
