The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry announced the 2nd Announcement of the Grant Scheme "Save – Upgrade to SMEs and Non-Profit Organizations (2024)".
The total budget of the Scheme amounts to €24,000,000, while the maximum grant amount that can be granted is €300,000. The aid intensity is 40% of the eligible costs of each application, while beneficiaries who will implement investments in mountainous and less-favoured areas may receive an increased grant rate, namely 60% of the eligible costs.
The aim of the Plan is to promote energy saving investments, which will result in savings of at least 35%. Specifically, the Plan will cover investments such as:
- Improving the energy efficiency of the building envelope.
- Installation of new technical systems in buildings.
- Installation of high efficiency combined heat and power systems.
- Installation of RES systems, including the installation of energy storage batteries.
- Improvement of energy efficiency, related to the production / operation processes of enterprises, such as replacement of energy-consuming equipment, installation of energy saving systems, as well as replacement of floodlights / lighting systems in sports stadiums / theatre stages / ballrooms etc.
- Replacement of existing production machinery with new machinery.
In order to secure sponsorship, advisory services are required from a Qualified Expert or Energy Auditor, to confirm that the investments that will be implemented will ensure the minimum technical criteria of the Scheme.
The submission period will begin on a date to be published with a new announcement by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. It is not possible to implement eligible costs before applying.
